One question I receive endlessly is What camera did you use for that photo? Let it be known it is not the equipment that makes the photographer. However I like some of these items more than I’ll ever care to admit. Here is a rough list of what I use.. and it is ever evolving. Overall I shoot strictly with quick primes. This pushes me to a new creative level and ensures I can get the shot I want in low light. To “zoom with your feet” certainly produces an extra edge of excitement.

First off, I LOVE your work! Absolutely beautiful! What do you use for your off camera lighting while you are doing your bridal portraits and also at your receptions! This is some of the best off-camera lighting I have seen! many have tried but few actually make it look amazing!
Thanks
Kea
Hi Kea! Thanks for the compliment. I do anything I can to escape the traditional portrait that you see all over the net. If you shoot me an email (jeff[at]jeffsimpsonphoto.com) I’d be happy to give you a basic breakdown of how I light my subjects. It’s more or less a combination of portable strobes and speedlites, often both together. Usually triggered by radiopoppers and diffused with softboxes and octaboxes.
Incredible work. Such image quality on all your images. Wondering how your color is so spot on. I don’t know what the colors should have been, but they look spot on and pretty dang good to me.
Jeff,
I am in awe of your work. it is simply amazing! Watching you do Marilyn and Charles’ wedding was inspiring. Such a hard worker you are, and it pays off!
